Are you passionate about Salem State and full of Viking Pride? We invite all interested Salem State community members to sign up to volunteer with our Social Media Ambassador Program! This program will allow Vikings to share their Salem State stories and help promote events like Viking Warrior Day.
About Viking Warrior Day
Starting on Wednesday, April 30 at 5:06 pm, the Salem State community will come together with Viking spirit for our eighth annual day of giving—the opportunity to transform lives by building a better, stronger, more affordable Salem State.
For 1,854 minutes, in honor of our founding in 1854, Viking Warrior Day 2025 will be an energetic, inspiring, gathering of alumni, parents, staff, students, faculty, and friends in support of a better Salem State. The event will last from 5:06 pm on Wednesday, April 30 until 11:59 pm on Thursday, May 1.
Your gifts provide access to student scholarships, tools for our dedicated faculty and staff, and transformative experiences like study abroad, service opportunities and internships.

Getting Started
Thank you for your interest in helping spread the word about Viking Warrior Day. Once you register, you will be provided with a unique URL to share in your posts that will credit you for all gifts made because of your activity. Be sure to use this URL to qualify for ambassador credit and prizes.

Responsibilities
Follow all the Alumni Association’s social networks that you are active on (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter/X) and share the excitement throughout the day! Being creative with your content is encouraged, but pre-written content will also be available to copy and share. Encourage positivity toward Salem State University. Promote upcoming events such as Viking Warrior Day, Alumni Weekend and POMP: Party on McKeown Plaza.
